Crane Load Limiter – TLU for Load Cells

Description

The TLU crane load limiter detects overload and slack cable conditions on cranes and hoists using installed load cells to monitor the lifting load. The instrument continuously monitors the load signal and activates programmable relay outputs when configured overload or slack thresholds are reached.

This makes the TLU ideal for overhead bridge cranes, hoists, and lifting systems that require automatic warning or shutdown protection when unsafe load conditions occur.

Relay outputs can activate:

• audible alarms
• warning lights
• stack lights
• crane shutdown controls

The TLU also provides a serial output for large digit crane scoreboards, allowing the hook weight to be displayed for operators and nearby personnel.

A related model, TLUANA, includes an analog output for PLC communication, allowing the weight value to integrate directly with industrial control systems.
