The SJB-4 series load cell junction boxes are housed in a stainless steel enclosure sealed to IP65. Available in signal trim or excitation trim and with optional surge protection. This load cell j-box is used to combine the signals from 2-4 load cells and output an average millivolt signal to the connected load cell electronics.
Excitation Trim Junction Box:
Pros: Possible to trim the individual load cells outputs with a multi-meter allowing Load Cell Systems to pre-calibrate your weighing system.
Cons: More difficult to setup in the field using test weights, or when replacing a damaged load cell.
Signal Trim Junction Box:
Pros: Easier to adjust the corners using test weights when installing and calibrating the load cell system in the field or when replacing a load cell.
Cons: Does not allow setup without test weights being applied to the scale.
Note: When weighing self leveling materials such as liquids the corner adjustment is not necessary, although it is still required to do a calibration of the system.
